A Maine teenager accused of plotting an ISIS-inspired attack has been indicted.

Xavier Pelkey of Waterville was charged by a federal grand jury on Wednesday, following his initial indictment in April.

Pelkey was indicted for conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and possession of unregistered destructive devices.

Pelkey was allegedly planning an attack on a Shia Muslim mosque in the Chicago area in the name of ISIS.

Investigators found three improvised explosive devices in Pelkey’s backpack during a search of his apartment in February.
