A 38-year-old West Bath woman faces charges for a fire that destroyed a barn on her own property.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office says Grace Burnham set fire to a small barn that was being used to house goats.
The fire destroyed the barn, but no animals were injured.
Burnham was charged with arson, failure to report or control a dangerous fire, and animal cruelty.
She was taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail.
The investigation was conducted by the Fire Marshals Office with assistance from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department and the West Bath Animal Control Officer.
