Westbrook Police Arrest Woman Minutes After Robbery


WESTBROOK, Maine (WGAN)  Westbrook Police say a transient has been arrested for a robbery in the city.

Police say around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to Pratt Abbott on Main Street for a robbery in progress.  Police say a female, later identified as 29-year-old Shana M. Capecea, went into the store, showed a knife and demanded cash.

Capecea ran away with the stolen cash, but was caught minutes later on Oak Street after a brief foot pursuit by Westbrook Police Officers.  She was in possession of the stolen cash when she was caught.

Police say she will face a robbery charge.
