Westbrook police investigate after shots fired from vehicle

Police in Westbrook are investigating a report of shots fired over the weekend.

Police say they received a call Saturday night of a truck and a sedan driving by a house just before 10 p.m. on Longfellow Street. They said someone in one of those vehicles fired shots into the air.

There were no injuries.

Police say they uncovered bullet casings at the scene. The shooting was not random and there’s no threat to the public.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Westbrook police.
