This year’s Holiday Hundred fundraiser to benefit the Salvation Army raised thousands of dollars for community members in need this holiday season.

The final total for WGAN’s Holiday Hundred was announced on the WGAN Morning News Friday morning, coming in at more than $16,000.

WGAN encouraged $100 donations from listeners, but no donation is too small.

Donations continued to come in, with WGAN helping to raise nearly $19,000 as of Friday afternoon.

You can still donate to the Salvation Army anytime.

Your money will go to members of the community in need, with The Salvation Army offering help for utility assistance, school supplies, Christmas toys, and food for families.

$75 provides a box of food for a family of six, while a $10 donation will pay for a meal for a hungry person in our state.
