A Windham police officer was hurt in a chase on Route 302 Wednesday night.

Police had been looking for a 16-year-old from Massachusetts.

According to CBS 13, he was located at about 9 p.m. in a vehicle near McDonald’s.

When officers approached the vehicle, police say the suspect backed into a police cruiser and then sped away.

The teen drove over spike mats on Route 302, but police say he kept going.

He reportedly drove into a stopped police vehicle that was part of a roadblock near Anglers Road.

The officer and teen both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Two other cars were hit in the crash, but the drivers of those vehicles were not hurt.
