Wiscasset man accused of forcing officer off road charged with OUI

A Wiscasset man faces an OUI charge for a second time after allegedly forcing a police vehicle off the road

Police responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically on Mountain Road in Wiscasset around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle was spotted by an officer on Bradford Road. The officer was then forced to drive off the road to avoid a head-on crash.

The driver of the vehicle was stopped and identified as 48-year-old Stuart Wyman. He was already out on bail for an OUI charge from Monday.

Wyman faces several charges, including OUI, driving to endanger, and violating conditions of release.

He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail where his blood alcohol was tested at 0.26, above the legal limit of .08.
