Woman accused of stabbing victim with scissors arrested in Portland


Police in Portland arrested a woman accused of stabbing another person with scissors.

Police said they responded to a call on Grant Street around 6:18 a.m. Monday. They found a victim who had been stabbed with scissors several times, leaving them with superficial wounds.

Police investigated and took 53-year-old Jennifer Strugar into custody. She was found nearby on Deering Avenue.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Strugar was charged with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
