BANGOR, Maine (WGAN) The mother of a 1-year-old girl is charged in connection with the toddler’s fentanyl-related death in Bangor.
Bangor Police say officers were called to a home at the Holiday Trailer Park last October to a report of an unresponsive child. The child was brought to the hospital where they died.
An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was found to be probable toxic effects of fentanyl.
Bangor Police say 33-year-old Kimberly Nelligan was arrested Tuesday morning and is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and drug possession.
She was brought to Penobscot County Jail where she’s being held without bail. The investigation is ongoing.
