The Maine Attorney General’s Office has charged a woman with murder and arson in connection with a fire that claimed the life of Caribou man earlier this year.

Susan Kochanowski, 34, is accused of starting the Jan. apartment fire that resulted in the death of 30-year-old Jason Donahue.

State police and the State Fire Marshal’s Office had said they were investigating the fire, but they never said whether they thought it was suspicious or whether the man’s death was considered a homicide.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a judge ordered that she be held without bail and scheduled an arraignment for July.
