Woman hurt in Belfast hit-and-run

Police are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run that left a woman hurt in Belfast Saturday night.

Tristen Fontenelle, 30, of Searsmont was riding her bike westbound on the eastbound shoulder of the road when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene of the accident.

The woman was found lying in a ditch along Belmont Ave. with head injuries.

Fontenelle was taken to Waldo General Hospital for treatment.

As of early Monday morning, police were still looking for the vehicle involved in the indecent.
