SEDGWICK, Maine (WGAN) Maine State Police say a woman was killed when her car struck a utility pole in Sedgwick Tuesday morning.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says 70-year-old Nancy Blastow died at the scene on Snow Cove Road. Investigators say her vehicle crossed the center line and entered a ditch, causing her to over-correct and hit a phone pole. It was reported just before 11 A.M.

The road was closed as crews replaced downed wires and the broken pole.
