A 22-year-old woman had to be rescued after her leg got stuck between two rocks at Pleasant Point Park in Buxton on Sunday.

Buxton Fire and Rescue says crews responded to the park around 5:30 p.m.

They found the woman partially in the water with her knee stuck in the ledge that lines the banks of the Saco River.

CBS 13 reports that it took 30 first responders about 2 hours to free the woman.

Due to the tricky location of the rescue effort, officials say it was a difficult process that included a little trial and error to free the woman.

The woman’s leg was freed using an air chisel to chip away at the ledge until an opening was large enough to get the woman out.

With the help of rescuers, the woman was able to walk up the bank of the river on her way to the ambulance.
