EMBDEN, Maine (AP) Authorities say a Winslow woman has died after being thrown from a motorcycle.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s office says the crash happened Sunday night on Route 201-A in Embden. Fifty-one-year-old Robert Searles, of Winslow, was operating a motorcycle with a group of several others when he lost control going around a corner. The motorcycle rolled over, ejecting 38-year-old Brandy Lilly-Bizer. The woman, who was not wearing a helmet, struck a fence and died.

Speed and alcohol are being investigated as possible factors in the crash.
