Worker dies after falling from bucket van in Rangeley

Police say a New York man was killed when he fell from the bucket of a moving bucket van on Route 4 in Rangeley late Tuesday morning.

24-year-old Danila Belov was working as a subcontractor for Consolidated Communications.

Police say the bucket van was moving when the bucket hit utility wires that were suspended above the road.

Belov was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by state police and the Maine Dept. of Labor.
