The York County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a serious crash in Alfred as of Tuesday evening.

Deputies say they closed down Pools Crossing Road while investigating the crash near its intersection with Old North Berwick Road.

Kennebunk Fire-Rescue also said Pools Crossing Road and Candlewood Drive would be closed for several hours until a Police reconstruction of the serious accident was complete.

Drivers were asked to seek an alternative route around the area.
