York County deputies recognize Good Samaritan who pulled driver out of burning vehicle

Police have recognized the Good Samaritan who pulled a driver from a burning vehicle in Lebanon.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says the driver went off Long Swamp Road and hit a tree, causing their vehicle to burst into flames on Monday. By the time first responders arrived, the driver was safely out of the car, but the Good Samaritan had left the scene.

Deputies say Stanley Grenier of Springvale came forward as the Good Samaritan. Grenier stopped in to meet command staff on Wednesday and was thanked for his heroism.

The victim in the crash was taken to the hospital for treatment.
