Maine Points: Bath at Play

Danny speaks with John Byram, Founder, President & Treasurer of Bath at Play. Bath at Play was born out of one dad’s desire to help bring a community playground to Bath, Maine. Through the endless support of family, friends, fellow parents & community members, and local businesses, our 100% volunteer- and parent-run organization has embarked on a mission to expand dynamic and inclusive play options throughout Maine.

Bath at Play advocates for the expansion, creation, and/or revitalization of playgrounds and play spaces at the local government level through education on the importance of play. We also act as a platform for communities to come together to fund and manage play-based enhancements to their neighborhoods such as playgrounds, splash-pads, and play-based art installations.
