MAINE POINTS: OLYMPIA SNOWE WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute is an independent 501(c)(3) organization that delivers a three-year, evidence-based, accredited program rooted in the themes “My Values” (10th grade), “My Voice” (11th grade), and “My Vision” (12th grade)—with a focus on developing self-knowledge, listening and communication skills, networking, mentoring, resilience, flexibility, gratitude, empathy, and a network of support. The Institute delivers its curriculum to high school girls—known as Olympia’s Leaders (OLs)—through a network of more than 220 female business and community leaders—known as Olympia’s Leaders Advisors (OLAs)—who serve as mentors to OLs throughout their three years in the program.
