Maine Points: Pets For Vets

Danny speaks with Marianne Quinn, Chapter Director for Pets For Vets

Pets for Vets is a non-profit organization here in the United States dedicated to providing a second chance to shelter dogs by rescuing, training, and matching them with U.S. veterans who need a “working animal”. Animal Trainer Clarissa Black created Pets for Vets, Inc. in 2009 as a way to say thank you to our nation’s heroes. The organization brings together two of her greatest passions – helping Veterans and saving animal lives. Pets for Vets is tailored to the needs, wants and hopes of each of our Veterans. They take the time to listen and find the animal that will bring the most support and comfort. While the majority of our skilled animal companions are dogs, we’ve also placed cats and even rabbits!

They invite any U.S. Veteran who could benefit from having a skilled companion animal to apply https://www.petsforvets.com/portland-me
