Maine Points: Pets For Vets

Marianne has loved helping others and animals all her life.  She has been involved in the Pets for Vets Portland Maine chapter since 2014, coming aboard first as a volunteer.  Marianne is passionate about Pets for Vets and in 2015 she joined the ranks of approved trainers for the chapter.  This allowed her to get to know the veterans well and adopt and train the animal companion they were seeking.  In addition, Marianne joined the board of directors and became the assistant chapter director prior to taking on the role of chapter director.  Marianne has observed firsthand how the unconditional love of a dog can help a Veteran through difficult times while reintegrating into civilian life. https://petsforvets.com/portland-me
