Maine Points: Portland Park Conservancy

The Portland Parks Conservancy is a nonprofit that is designed to help maintain Portland’s Parks. They aim to ensure that they are not only accessible to all people but cater to people’s wants and needs for what a park should be.

The Trash Challenge will take place on August 21st, which is a Saturday morning. We will start and end in Kennedy Park, right across from Rising Tide Brewery, and teams of individuals will attempt to pick up as much trash as they can within an hour and a half. There will be prizes for the team with the most trash but no one will leave empty handed. It is the first time we have ever done an event like this and we are very excited about the possibility of doing more interactive events like this in the future.
