Maine Points: Salute The Protectors

Todd Crawford & Marty Grohman are the special hosts this week on Maine Points. From now until Saturday, November 7th, Bill Dodge GMC and the stations of the Portland Radio Group will present “Salute The Protectors”, Veterans Count’s 2020 Veterans Day Fundraiser. On the radio and online, Portland Radio Group is highlighting the contributions our Maine veterans have made to our community while raising money for Veterans Count right here in Maine. All money raised goes exclusively to Maine veterans in need.

From housing to transportation to food to medical bills to childcare and tuition, Veterans Count helps Maine veterans wherever and whenever that help is needed—and in 2020, the need is great. No financial gift is too small—and gifts of $50 or more will receive a hand-sewn, high-quality face mask*, Maine-made from a military uniform that’s seen active duty. It’s a part of a uniform worn to protect our freedom… now worn to protect the people around you.

Each mask will come with a card detailing where the uniform has served. Many of the volunteers sewing the masks also have a military connection.
