Maine Points: SARSSM

Since 1973, Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine (which we refer to as SARSSM) has provided free services in York and Cumberland counties to anyone affected by sexual harassment, sexual abuse, or sexual assault, through prevention and education programs, support, and advocacy.

You Are Not Alone. They provide ​Advocacy, Emergency, Prevention, Education and Community Engagement programs and services to people impacted by sexual violence, whether survivors or the people that care about them.

Their Helpline and Outreach Services program, which operates a free, private, 24-hour crisis and support line which can be reached at 1-800-871-7741, as well as text and chat services, community outreach and support groups.
