Maine Points: Shalom House

Shalom House began in 1972 with one man’s belief that there had to be a safe, caring place where people with mental illness could live in our community.

Shalom House offers hope for adults living with mental illness by providing an array of community-based mental health services and a choice of quality housing that help people lead stable and fulfilling lives in the community.
