Maine Points: Veterans Day

Veterans Day as we know it was established in November of 1919 back then it was known as Armistice Day! It was celebrated on the 11th Hour of the 11th day I’ll be 11th month that was the date did the armistice of World War I took place it was supposed to be the war to end all wars! It became illegal holiday in 1938 and it later became known as Veterans Day in 1954. Now this is separate from Memorial Day that is for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the nation! Veterans Day is to give thanks to the men and women who have served the nation in uniform in war and in peace! Let me know if that help you or you need more info
