This is a very special episode of the Maine Veterans Spotlight. It’s a Civil Air Patrol edition. Maine Wing of Civil Air Patrol is sending three cadets to service academies this fall:
We will talk with Col Mark Hyland, Maine Wing Commander, Cadet Capt. Felicity Jackson, who will be attending the US Naval Academy, and Cadet 2nd Lt Riley Record, who will be attending the US Military Academy at West Point
We also talk with Maj. Ralph Gamache, the Portland Squadron Commander, is the squadron of Cadet Riley Records and Cadet Lt. Col. Caroline Benson’s Squadron. Caroline is attending the United States Naval Academy in the fall.
Maulian Bryant, executive director of the Wabanaki Alliance and former Tribal Ambassador for the Penobscot Nation, joins us to discuss the issues which impact indigenous people and how we can all support their communities.
During the stop, the Penobscot County deputy found a significant amount of illegal drugs, including over 120 grams of Methamphetamine, nearly 15 grams of Fentanyl and about 6 grams of Crack Cocaine.
