The Portland Parks Commission is hosting its annual Party in the Park on Wednesday, June 18.

The commission says the event is a chance to “celebrate the significant triumphs the city’s parks have made throughout the year.” Community members can expect live music, food trucks, and various “activities for all ages,” according to the City of Portland.

In addition to the recreational events, the City of Portland hopes the event will act as a way to learn about current initiatives, ask questions, and discover how [to] get more involved in preserving and enhancing our beautiful parks.” Parks division representatives and community groups will host informational tables.

The Parks Commission is a collection of volunteers who meet with park officials to review projects and proposals and share citizen input.

The event will take place at the Payson Park Triangle from 4:30-6p.m.
