Cindy Soule – Finalist For Maine Teacher of Year

Portland Public Schools Teacher is Finalist for Teacher of Year! Cindy Soule, a fourth-grade teacher at Talbot Community School, was selected in May as the 2020 Cumberland County Teacher of the Year. Now she’s one of three State Finalists for Maine Teacher of the Year! The three State Finalists are Soule; Alison Babb-Brott, of Knox County; and Heather Webster, of Lincoln County, according to a recent announcement by Educate Maine, the Maine Department of Education, the Maine State Board of Education and the Maine State Teacher of the Year Association. A review panel will conduct school site “visits” and interviews of the three finalists as the next step in the Teacher of the Year selection process. One of the three will be selected as Maine Teacher of the Year 2020 in October.
