More than $4.5 million distributed to families, others impacted by Lewiston shooting

(WGAN) A fundraising campaign to help people impacted by the Lewiston mass shooting has raised and distributed more than $4.5 million.

The money from the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund is being distributed by the Maine Community Foundation.

The foundation says that money has gone out to 160 people, including immediate family members of the people who died.

The fund was created within 36 hours of the shootings.
