SKOWHEGAN, Maine (AP) A Maine man convicted of killing his wife and burying her body with a wedding band, flowers and a bottle of Gucci cologne called “Guilty” is going to prison for 55 years.
The judge said he was “disgusted” by Luc Tieman’s conduct before sentencing him on Friday.
Tieman, of Fairfield, didn’t address the court. But he previously contended he didn’t kill his wife, whom he buried behind his parents’ home.
The Army veteran originally told investigators she disappeared at a Walmart, but he later changed his story to say she died from a heroin overdose.
An autopsy showed 34-year-old Valerie Tieman had ingested painkillers, but died from two gunshots.
A prosecutor told the judge that Valerie Tieman was “gunned down” by the man who vowed to love and protect her.
