1 woman killed, another critically injured after incident in Readfield

A suspect was taken into custody after a death in Readfield on Wednesday.

Maine State Police say a woman was found dead in a home on Giles Road after a 911 call reporting an incident at the home.

Another woman who was found injured was hospitalized in critical condition, while a man who fled the scene was taken into custody nearby and evaluated at the hospital.

All three people are related.
