NEWFIELD (WGAN) The York County Sheriff’s Office says a marijuana grow facility was broken into Friday afternoon.

Sheriff William King says it happened at the building off Wakefield Road in Newfield around 5 p.m. The owner of the facility was watching it remotely when he noticed someone wearing a mask had cut a hole in the side of the building and was able to get inside.

Police arrived to find the man had already left, but later tracked him to his truck nearby. He was identified as 19-year-old Joseph Dandreo of Limerick and was taken into custody. Dandreo faces multiples charges including burglary.

He was arraigned Tuesday and assigned a $500 cash bail.
