ARUNDEL, Maine (AP) Officials say a Sanford man whose vehicle crashed into a tree is dead.

The York County Sheriff’s Department said the victim of the crash Thursday evening on Route 111 in Arundel was 22-year-old Michael Mackie Jr.

Investigators believe speed contributed to the sedan crossing the center line and going off the road.

Mackie died at the scene.
