Following six days of no new reported deaths related to the coronavirus, the Maine Centers for Disease Control announced two new deaths, and 24 new cases in Maine.

This brings the death toll to 107 total deaths related to the coronavirus.

The total cases climbed to 3,397, and 3,012 are confirmed positive cases. While a total of 2,751 Mainers have recovered from the coronavirus.

Maine currently has 27 patients hospitalized.

In June, Maine’s CDC began releasing data which breaks down case counts by ZIP code. The information reveals total number of cumulative cases to date, and suppresses data in ZIP codes where there have been 5 or fewer cases and ZIP codes where there are fewer than 50 people. It also excludes Washington and Piscataquis counties, in an effort to protect patient privacy.
