Three people face drug trafficking charges after a weeklong investigation at a Baileyville motel by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Officers say 36-year-old Katherine Smith of Baileyville, 37-year-old Bruce Bailey of Baileyville, and 40-year-old Dim Akopian of New Jersey have all been arrested for trafficking activity connected to the motel in Washington County.

Agents, including members of the U.S. Border Patrol, found a large quantity of methamphetamine in a room at the unnamed motel.

The investigation was conducted by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Down East Task Force, which covers Hancock and Washington Counties.

Bailey has a bail set at $10,000. The three arrests were all made on Monday.
