Three teenagers have been taken into custody in connection with shots fired in Portland back in December.

No one was injured but police found bullet holes in several apartments at 139 Cumberland Ave. near Peppermint Park on Dec. 26.

On Wednesday night, police arrested 18-year-olds Jeissey Khamis and Mogga Yanga, both from Portland, and an 18-year-old who was 17 at the time of the shooting and charged as a juvenile.

All three were charged with elevated aggravated assault and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.

The third 18-year-old was also charged with a separate adult criminal offense but is not being identified by police because he faces juvenile charges related to the shooting incident.

All three teens are being held at Cumberland County Jail.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact Portland Police at (207) 874-8575 or texting keyword PPDME and your message to 847411.
