5-year-old dies after falling in Piscataquis County lake

Police said a 5-year-old boy drowned after falling in a lake in Piscataquis County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to WABI, the boy was fishing on Ambajejus Lake at the end of a dock by a cabin that his family had been renting when he fell in the water around 2 p.m.

The boy’s father started CPR before first responders arrived. The boy died after being taken to a local hospital.

No other information has been released.
