6 charged with drug trafficking after agents seize $40,000 worth of fentanyl from Enfield home

Maine drug agents seized half a pound of fentanyl and arrested six people during a drug bust in Penobscot County this week.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency searched a home in Enfield on Thursday morning as part of an investigation into the sale of fentanyl allegedly being brought there by out-of-state traffickers.

Agents seized half a pound of fentanyl worth $40,000, and well as $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

61-year-old Tammy Lee, 20-year-old Christopher Campbell, and 18-year-old Madison Whitmore, all from Enfield, were taken into custody and charged with drug trafficking.

Three other people from the Bronx, New York were also arrested. They were identified as 32-year-old Naim Stewart, 33-year-old Kenute Walker and 33-year-old Jquan Bailey.
