9-year-old girl airlifted from Black Mountain

A 9-year-old girl was airlifted after getting injured on Black Mountain Ski Area in Rumford.

The Rumford Fire Department says LifeFlight was called in to the ski resort on Saturday to transport her to Rumford Hospital.

Rescuers were called to the scene where the girl’s sister told 911 she had found her unconscious on a ski trail.

The girl’s condition and possible injuries were unclear.
