The Maine legislature’s website no longer includes the home addresses of lawmakers after the shooting death of a Minnesota state representative and her husband last weekend.

State lawmakers have had the option of listing their personal addresses and contact information on the website, but the site now only lists their State House addresses in Augusta.

In addition, personal information has also been removed from the candidate filing website, according to Secretary of State Shenna Bellows.

Bellows said she made the move out an “abundance of caution,” according to the Portland Press Herald.

The Bangor Daily News first reported the omissions.

The Minnesota shooter killed state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband and seriously wounded state Senator John Hoffman and his wife at their homes Saturday morning.

Police arrested the accused shooter, 57-year-old Vance Boelter, on Sunday after an extensive manhunt. Prosecutors said he also went to the homes of two other Minnesota lawmakers the night of the attacks but did not find them.

Boelter faces federal and state charges for murder.
