An Accused Drunk Driver Arrested for Driving the Wrong Way on I-295

An accused drunk driver was arrested for driving the wrong on I-295, late Friday night (10/31).

At around 11:30, Maine State Police received a report of a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane near mile marker 37 in Bowdoinham.

A state tropper was able to enter the highway safely and boxed in the driver to stop him.

Police arrested 26-year-old Rashard Robinson of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Robinson was charged with Operating Under the Influence and Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon.

He was taken to Kennebec County Jail.
