Another Great White Shark Sighting, This Time Off the Coast of Georgetown

The Great White Shark be on the lookout alert/Town of Georgetown, Maine's Facebook

Another Great White Shark has been spotted off Maine’s coast, this time in Georgetown.

According to Sagadahoc County Emergency Management, an eight to nine-foot shark was found about 200 feet offshore of Reid State Park on Saturday.

Officials closed the water for swimmers for a short time.

This is not the first Great White sighting in the state this summer, as a few weeks ago, a lobsterman saw almost a dozen of them off the coast of Harpswell.
