Another Mainer pleads guilty to Jan. 6 charges

A man from Portland has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges in connection with the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

According to the Portland Press Herald, 46-year-old Michael Fournier was arrested in January on four misdemeanor charges, with two getting dismissed after a plea agreement.

On Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and parading in a restricted area. He faces up to six months behind bars for each charge and has agreed to pay $500 in restitution.

He’ll be sentenced on August 1.

Fournier is one of 10 people with ties to Maine who have been charged in connection with the riot.
