Aroostook County ‘Suspicious Vehicle Fire’ Being Investigated

The state fire marshal’s office is asking for public help with information about what it calls a “suspicious vehicle fire” Monday morning in Aroostook County. 

The office says it was called in at about 8:20 a.m. to assist the Presque Isle Police and Fire Departments with the vehicle fire located in a field in the town of Mapleton.

 “The incident is under investigation, and your information could be crucial,” the fire marshal’s office said in a statement.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state fire marshal’s arson hotline at 1-888-870-6162.
