Arundel car crash kills 1, injuries 2 others

A crash in Arundel left one person dead and two people hospitalized Saturday afternoon.

Police say the crash happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Log Cabin Road and Old Post Road in Arundel.

A Lexus LS340 driven by 64 year old Joanne Lapalme, of Kennebunkport crossed into the path of a 2009 Hyundai Sonata and hit it head on.

The driver of the Hyundai, 66 year old Christopher Rush, of Benedicta, was taken to Maine Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

He was accompanied by one passenger, 29 year old Isaiah Rush.

Rush and Lapalme were also transported to Maine Medical Center, where their conditions are currently unknown.
