Police in Lewiston have charged a 20-year-old Auburn man in connection with a fatal shooting on Halloween night.

Police on Tuesday said Abdikar A. Nur was arrested Monday in Auburn. He’s charged in the shooting death of Hassan Hassan, an 18-year-old who was killed in a shooting on River Street on Saturday night.

Nur was out on $10,000 bail since September 30th, after being arrested by Lewiston Police for Elevated Aggravated Assault in July for his involvement in a previous shooting in May. He was arrested on a warrant for violating conditions of release.

Police said an arrest warrant for an additional charge of murder was approved Tuesday afternoon.
