Augusta police work to identify armed robbery suspect

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a bank in Augusta.

The robbery occurred Saturday around 11:30 a.m. at the Camden National Bank on Armory Street.

Police say a man walked into the bank, displayed a gun and demanded money.

The man got away before officers arrived and police are still working to identify and locate the robber.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 5’7″ and 5’10,” weighing between 150-180 pounds.

He was wearing a light jacket and dark athletic pants, possibly with a stripe on them.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police.
