BATH, Maine (WGAN)  Police say a Maine bus driver has been cited for taking inappropriate photos of students while driving them to and from school.

50-year-old Timothy McGowan was cited for violation of privacy.  He was not arrested.

McGowan is a bus driver for the Bath Bus Service.

Our info partners at Channel 8 report that Homeland Security notified State Police about a tip about a bus driver in Maine posting “upskirt” photos of students.  The photos were posted on a foreign website, according to the tip given to police.

Police say they found six images of female students, ranging from elementary to high school age.

Police say they searched McGowan’s devices and found images matching the ones on the foreign website.

He is due in court in July.

Parents of the children involved, who attend RSU 1 and the West Bath School, were notified. The images were also removed from the website, police said.

McGowan was placed on leave, according to police.
