Berwick man charged with killing woman at Timberland’s New Hampshire headquarters

STRATHAM, N.H. (AP) New Hampshire authorities say a Berwick man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a woman at the headquarters of Timberland, the outdoor apparel company.

Twenty-year-old Robert Pavao is accused of assaulting the woman and causing her death Sunday.

He waived arraignment and pleaded not guilty Monday. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.

An autopsy was scheduled for the 46-year-old woman, who worked at Timberland. The company is based in in Stratham.

The company said in a statement that it extends its deepest condolences to her family.
